Establishment of schools to address the problems of access, quality and equality are one of our flagship programmes. Schools initially are opened in rented buildings on the approach of ‘one class, one teacher’.
We encourage a student-teacher ratio of 25:01 in our schools. Teachers get start-off and periodic in-service training. A robust system of monitoring and evaluation for ensuring smooth operation of schools and quality of education has evolved over the last 23 years. Schools run on a self-supportive basis and charge appropriate tuition fees from the students whose family can afford in order to help with staff salary and facility upkeep.
