“It was unfortunate that my father died of a disease that was easily curable.I wanted to help humanity and the poor in my area by becoming a doctor.

” I was just three when my father died from T.B. Dealing with the loss of my father as the sole breadwinner was unbearable for my mother. Life became difficult and we had no option but to move to my Uncle’s home.

I was enrolled at a READ Foundation School there because of the quality of education it provided along with a sponsorship to orphan students.

I was in Grade 4 when I had to pass through yet another grief. My mother also passed away.

Living without the love and care of both parents was a difficult time in my life. But, I was fortunate to have very caring and motivating teachers. My teachers always encouraged me to do well at school and pursue my dream of becoming a medical doctor.

After passing my Grade 5 examination, I also joined a Quran Hifz Course at the school. Allah the Almighty rewarded me for my patience and hard work as time passed by. I topped amongst 54,000 students in the F.Sc. Pre-Medical examination.

It was unfortunate that my father died of a disease that was easily curable. I wanted to help humanity and the poor in my area by becoming a doctor. The sponsorship from READ Foundation and ICNA Relief is helping me to excel in my education and fulfill my dream. I am unable to express fully in words how much happy I was on my first day at the King Edward Medical University.Thank you READ Foundation.
